The Salesians of St. Don Bosco, Ibadan, organised an award programme to encourage some outstanding youths and to motivate others to continue in their footsteps. This programme took place on the 12th January, 2008. It commenced with the arrival of Guests, Parents and Youths who graced the occasion. After the opening prayer had been said, there were different presentations by the youths. Announcing the nominees for the different categories of award was full of suspense, one keeps guessing on and on….The youths who won the awards were happy and their Parents and Friends rejoiced with them, they are now eager to do even more and their Colleagues were equally motivated.

Friend’s day is a yearly organized programme where we share love with one another by exchange of gifts, it is celebrated on St. Valentine’s Day which is 14th of February. The program commenced with arrival of Guests, Parents and Youths of and outside the centre, followed by the opening prayer then introduction of individual, there we also choose The Most Beautiful Lady likewise The Most Handsome Guy among the guest, so both of them will be The King and Queen of the great occasion. There will be different presentations and a Talk about St. Valentine and Love & Sharing. Gifts are been exchange among one another, the names of those with their gifts would be written down then each person will be told to pick a name, your gift will be given to the person you pick and so on till it gets to the last person.

Easter Monday Picnic this year was a successful one it started with Youth Hour of Praise in the Hall which started with an opening prayer with some choruses from there we all march to the Garden where we had our picnic. There was lots of fun; there were varieties of presentation, and games with lots of gifts to be won with the help of Grace (Mama Margaret) where we had a mini restaurant.
